Sun is the basic source of all heat energy, building materials such as concrete bricks used for building walls and roofs absorb the sun heat during summer time retaining and transmitting it into the building which leads to the need of constant air conditioning, high power consumption and expensive electricity bill. Utilizing for roof insulation considerably improves the thermal behavior of a building by conserving low temperature inside when it is extremely hot outside and vice versa.
TYPES OF ROOF INSULATION’S:
1- CONVENTIONAL ROOFING SYSTEMS:
boards or blue boards are laid UNDER water proofing membrane .
2- INVERTED ROOFING SYSTEMS:
boards or blue boards are placed ABOVE the waterproofing membrane as they keep the membrane and the structure close to the internal temperature of the building .it also protect s the waterproof membrane from the effect of direct sunlight and climate change.
